Tsinghua University, of Beijing, China, and in conjunction with the University of Washington and financial backing from Microsoft, is moving to The Spring District. Broderick Group represented the developer and landlord (Wright Runstad and Shorenstein Properties) in the lease. Tsinghua had many options but ultimately chose to be as close to downtown Bellevue without locating in a high rise and valued the walking distance to an eventual light rail stop. The tenant signed a 10 year lease and has plans to expand.
